Sanne Stewart
Founder & Principal Accountant
Sanne brings over 30 years of diverse financial and accounting experience to Sapphire Coast Accounting & Tax. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Monash University, a Diploma in Financial Planning, and a Master of Science.
Her career began in roles such as credit controller, finance analyst, and management/cost accountant before transitioning into taxation in 2005. With strong analytical acumen and deep technical expertise, Sanne founded Sapphire Coast Accounting & Tax in January 2025 to offer tailored, client-focused services in a supportive professional environment.
Sanne is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ), a registered Tax Agent, a Justice of the Peace (NSW), and serves as an External Examiner for the NSW Law Society. She is also an auditor for trust accounts and not-for-profit organisations.
Outside the office, Sanne enjoys a good laugh and quality time with her family, friends, and colleagues. On weekends, you might find her exploring the beach or bush trails—either on foot or horseback.
Karen Cuzner
Executive Assistant
Karen brings over 18 years of experience in public accounting, complemented by more than a decade in the banking sector. She is skilled in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and company secretarial tasks.
As Executive Assistant, Karen plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth workflows and outstanding client service. Her efficiency, reliability, and warm approach make her a valued point of contact for both clients and the team.
Karen is also a Justice of the Peace (NSW), and her enthusiasm, dedication, and strong interpersonal skills contribute to the positive culture at Sapphire Coast Accounting & Tax.
Gai Lyon-Priestley
Senior Accountant
With over 30 years of experience in tax practices and corporate accounting, Gai Lyon-Priestley is a Certified Practising Accountant with expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and taxation. Her extensive knowledge enables her to understand clients' unique needs and deliver tailored advice that addresses complex business challenges with clarity and precision.
Gai is dedicated to empowering and educating her clients—helping them comprehend their financial situations, navigate tax obligations, enhance their systems, and make informed decisions with confidence. Her empathetic approach and clear communication style have been instrumental in easing clients' worries and reducing the stress often associated with financial management.
